At Ink & Steel, we take extreme pride in being the first and finest tattoo shop in Independence, IA. We are licensed, insured, and our artists are ready to take your self-expression to the next level.

We are not your traditional tattoo shop. In addition to providing custom, creative tattoos, with expectional quality, we also offer piercing and tanning services, as well as metaphysical products.

We are commited to safety, hygiene, and professionalism. We strive to use the highest quality equipment and follow strict sterilization procedures so our clients feel safe, comfortable, and valued.

Today I had my second trip to Ink and Steel and I absolutely love the new location. I was nervous going in this morning about getting a Spine tattoo, but Jake was awesome. He was very welcoming, comical, and did amazing clean, fine lines with my tattoo. He even made a great suggestion of leaving my cross outlined, instead of filling it in and I loved the idea as soon as I looked at it. He really cares about his work and makes sure you walk out loving it as much as he does. I also have to add, that the atmosphere of the shop is amazing as well and would highly recommend anyone to get their next tattoo at Ink & Steel.
